About Me
Hello! My name is Anna Cavanagh. I am a 2024 Stockton University graduate, with a BFA in Visual Arts specializing in Visual Communications. I commenced my academic journey at Ocean County College in the Fall of 2019 before transitioning to Stockton University in the Fall of 2021. My tenure at Stockton expanded my proficiency across a spectrum of Adobe programs, encompassing Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Animate, and more. Guided by my esteemed professors, my creative prowess flourished as I mastered diverse techniques, poised to propel my career as a designer.
Although my journey into the world of visual arts may have seemed predestined, my path was not without its twists and turns. Having harbored a childhood passion for art and creativity, I found myself at a crossroads, torn between my artistic inclinations and a genuine desire to pursue a career in veterinary science. A single drawing course at Ocean County College served as the catalyst, prompting me to pivot toward graphic design, a decision I have never looked back on since. During the summer of 2023, I seized an opportunity as a Packaging Production intern at Spencer’s Gifts and Spirit Halloween, delving deeper into the nuances of the packaging industry. My contributions extended to finalizing costume packages for the 2024 Halloween season and securing a temporary position with Spirit Halloween post-internship. During my last semester at Stockton, I took the opportunity to join a Visual Communications internship, where I worked with several clients to provide their creative ideas and needs, including magazine spreads, and website layout designs.
My portfolio showcases a fusion of my older and newer works, reflecting my artistic evolution over the years. Eager for the future, I aspire to refine my skills collaboratively with prospective employers, fortifying my portfolio further.
